Review by hotel critic
My recent stay at Masseria Il Melograno was a delightful escape into the heart of Puglia's charm. The spacious property, surrounded by ancient olive trees, offered a peaceful retreat with a beautiful pool and ample relaxation areas. The staff, while occasionally rushed during breakfast, exuded warmth and efficiency, making us feel truly welcomed. The breakfast was impeccable, and dining at La Mummolo by the pool was a pleasant experience, though not quite Michelin-starred. The well-maintained room, complete with a large bed, was a cozy haven, especially when the shutters were closed in the early evening for turndown service. The on-site amenities, including an indoor swimming pool and a heliport for convenience, added extra allure to the stay. The hotel's proximity to Puglia's sights, such as the cliffs of Polignano a Mare and the trulli homes of Alberobello, enriched our experience, hinting at the region's diverse offerings beyond the property itself. In conclusion, Masseria Il Melograno struck a perfect balance between modern comfort and authentic Apulian ambiance, making it a place I will eagerly return to with my partner. The harmonious blend of luxury, heritage, and Italian hospitality left a lasting impression, inviting us to explore more of Puglia's wonders on our next visit.
